ZEDO Ad Network to Boost Social Web’s CPMs
with Retargeting Technology
San Francisco, California,
May 6, 2008 – ZEDO, Inc. announced a new
ad network designed specifically for social networks
and applications today. ZEDO Ad Network, will
enable advertisers to retarget ‘lost visitors,’
who’ve recently visited their sites and
are shown to be much more likely to make a purchase.
Social networks and related services are becoming
the largest part of the web, but are not being
monetized to their full potential, with ads selling
for as low as $0.10 CPM. ZEDO Ad Network can guarantee
social networks $3 CPM to $5CPM.
“Retargeting is the single most effective
form of behavioral targeting we’ve seen
so far,” said ZEDO founder and CEO Roy de
Souza. “Combining retargeting with social
networks is challenging, but very profitable.
Our aim is to sell 5% of publishers’ inventory
and create 25% in incremental revenue”
ZEDO Ad Network’s sales force only sells
high-performance retargeted impressions to advertisers,
who are willing to pay a steep premium for increased
click-through rates and conversions. Retargeted
ads are three times more likely to be clicked
and retargeted users are four times more likely
to convert.
“These users are relatively young, they’re
brand conscious and most importantly they buy
things online,” said de Souza. “The
process is incredibly complex, but our process
is very effective since we’re working off
of 8 years of experience and have such a large
footprint in the social networking space.“
